Who or What is Collection Center?

We’re here for The Music

Our mission revolves around the music, specifically the ones that stand out a most, especially in Rock. However, we also draw inspiration from various other musical projects that have left their mark on us. Collection Center serves as a hub for an eclectic selection of amazing underground music. To showcase and highlight newer (or older) artists that truly stand out and deserve greater recognition. We Enjoy broad tastes, from Fuzzed out Psychedelic Rock to Angsty Punk and Ol’ Tunes of Folk.

How did we get here

This project is solely owned and maintained by R. What began as curating music for friends and creating mixtapes for friends. This experiences and interactions from sharing them fueled a relentless motivation to discover music beyond the mainstream, delving into underground and local music scenes, exploring new and old artists and projects. This passion intensified during R.’s college years when he became a DJ for the student-run radio. This opportunity further amplified his dedication to working with and sharing his musical interests. This was the foundation of everything that is Collection Center. The New, Unique, and Interesting points that speaks to our tastes.

More than just a label.

Collection Center is more than a label. Besides creating media we want to ensure that media isn’t forgotten. We are committed to the Archival and Restoration of media. Cassette Tapes are delicate creations, with many of its own flaws that make it certain that media can be easily lost and destroyed. We are collectors too, and we want to make sure that all media we have is preserved. One of our missions is to help preserve audio; and this is a promise we aim to keep.

Cassette tapes hold a special place in the hearts of many. They carry nostalgia and a unique warmth that's hard to replicate. Yet, their delicate nature makes them susceptible to the passage of time. We work on just such delicacy, cassette tape restoration. We understand the issues and challenges of preserving their analog touch also preserving it digitally, often try to remaster the digital files to ensure the best sound; minimizing flaws and restoring audio from damage. From hisses to pops, we meticulously pour time into making sure we get the best possible quality out of old tapes that happen to come our way.

The Label is not ran to capitalize, it is a passion project of like-minded enthusiasts and music collectors, this is just one of the many dedications we share with both our local and online community.
